Bonfire Night is one of those autumn traditions we all look forward to, wrapping up in coats and scarves, grabbing something warm to eat, and watching the skies burst into colour. But for some, the loud bangs of traditional fireworks can be overwhelming. That’s why at Old Down Country Park; we do things a little differently.

This November, we’re bringing back our adored Low Noise Fireworks, a quieter display, perfect for families, pet owners, and anyone looking for a calmer way to enjoy Bonfire Night. 

Why choose low noise fireworks?

A calmer, more inclusive experience. Not everyone enjoys loud fireworks. For young children, the elderly, or those with conditions such as autism, PTSD, or anxiety, a firework night can often feel like something to avoid. Low noise fireworks take away the stress and keep the magic, so more people can join in the fun.

Kinder for pets and wildlife

Anyone with pets knows how stressful Bonfire Night can be for them. And it’s not just our furry friends at home; wildlife can also be disturbed by traditional fireworks. Our quieter displays mean fewer frightened animals and a celebration that’s gentler on the environment.

A focus on visual magic

Just because they’re quieter doesn’t mean they’re less impressive. Our 12-minute display is choreographed to a handpicked selection of songs and designed to wow with colour, movement, and atmosphere.

Members only display: Sunday 2nd November | 5pm–7pm | £2pp
Public sessions: Wednesday 5th & Thursday 6th November | 4pm–6pm or 7pm–9pm  
Location: Old Down Country Park, near Bristol
