Spring Events at Old Down Country Park
Spring is well underway, and there’s plenty happening at Old Down Country Park over the next few months. With events including our Food & Drink Festival, Colour Run, Easter holiday activities, and the Spring Fayre, there are lots of great reasons to plan a family day out in South Gloucestershire.
Whether you’re visiting for a specific event or simply looking for things to do near Bristol with kids, Old Down Estate offers family friendly activities, outdoor space, animals, and seasonal events for all ages to enjoy.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up at Old Down Country Park.
Spring Fayre 2026

Colour Run 2026
Sunday 12 April 2026 | 10am–5pm | General Admission (FREE for members)
Our popular Colour Run returns this spring. Take a lap of the Country Park as clouds of colourful powdered paint are released along the route.
Members can take part for free*, while non-members pay standard park admission. Participants must book a run time, and tickets include entry to the park for the full day.
*Members must have a valid membership at the time of booking and on the day of the event.
Easter Holidays 2026
2nd–19th April | 10am–5pm | General Admission | View Schedule
Join us this Easter for two weeks of family activities. Take part in our daily Easter Egg Hunt (10am–5pm) with a hidden Golden Egg and prize, plus live shows, cookie decorating, animal encounters, and special appearances from the Easter Bunny on selected dates.
Play Bus sessions will run on selected weekends. All activities are included with general admission, except the Colour Run on Sunday 12th April, which requires a separate ticket. Check the full schedule before your visit.
Food & Drink Festival 2026
25th May 2026 | 11am–3pm | Adults £5 | Under 15s FREE
Join us this May Bank Holiday for the return of our Food & Drink Festival at Old Down Estate. Following the success of last year, expect delicious street food, artisan traders, refreshing drinks, and plenty of family friendly entertainment.
Enjoy food decorating, a DJ, cocktail masterclasses, cooking demos, and our brand new blindfolded eating competition.
Tickets this year include entry to both the Food & Drink Festival and the Country Park.
