Our self-catering barn, perfect for hen and stag parties of up to 11, features a private hot tub and the option of a private chef for a bespoke dining experience. For engagement parties, the elegant Manor House and rustic Barn create a stunning setting to celebrate your love story in style.
Weekend Stays
Our self-catered barn at Old Down Estate is the perfect setting for hen parties, group getaways and pre-wedding celebrations. Sleeping up to 11 guests, the spacious open-plan layout creates a relaxed, sociable atmosphere; ideal for everything from celebratory dinners to laid-back mornings together.
The property boasts 4 double bedrooms with en-suite and 1 single. While outside, you have a private hot tub to make your stay extra special. There’s also the option to elevate your stay with a private chef (subject to availability), perfect for marking the occasion without lifting a finger.
Step beyond the barn and you’ll find 66 acres of stunning countryside to explore, with woodlands, gardens and friendly animals to meet along the way, making your celebration unique and memorable. Whether you’re planning a hen weekend or marking a special occasion with friends, it’s a space designed for making the most of your time together.
Camping Getaways
For a truly unique hen party or pre-wedding celebration, our seasonal glamping bell tents offer a relaxed, outdoor experience with just the right touch of comfort. Set within the beautiful grounds of Old Down Estate, our collection of 10 bell tents; sleeping between 2, 4 or 6 guests. In total can accommodate groups of up to 30–40 people, making them ideal for larger celebrations or groups wanting to stay together in a fun, sociable setting.
Each tent is thoughtfully furnished with real beds, cosy interiors and outdoor seating, creating a hassle-free glamping experience while still feeling close to nature. Guests can enjoy access to 66 acres of countryside, from woodland walks to animal encounters, adding something a little different to your stay. Whether you’re planning a laid-back hen weekend or a memorable group getaway, our bell tents are perfect for those looking for a unique way to celebrate together.

Choose from a luxurious menu of treatments, from deeply relaxing full-body massages to glow-boosting facials, all tailored to your individual needs. Complement your spa day with beauty treatments including BIAB nails, eyelash tints and lifts, and expert waxing, all delivered by our friendly, experienced therapists who ensure every guest feels pampered and cared for.

Afternoon Tea in the Manor
For hen parties or pre-wedding celebrations with a twist, Old Down Estate’s Afternoon Tea offers a charming and indulgent experience. Guests can exclusively hire a room in the Manor, providing a private, elegant setting for your group to relax, chat and toast the bride-to-be. Our freshly prepared afternoon teas feature a delightful selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and cream, and an array of cakes and pastries, all paired with fine teas or sparkling refreshments.
Perfect as a daytime treat or as part of a weekend celebration, our Afternoon Tea experience can be combined with stays in our self-catered barn or glamping bell tents, making it easy to enjoy a full weekend of relaxation, celebration, and countryside charm with your friends.
